zankov — henry zankov's new york knitwear label, the one that built its whole reputation on color and on finishing you can see from the inside. this is the long-sleeve merino polo: a proper knitted collar, three-button placket, saddle shoulder, deep rib at the cuff and hem. the whole thing is one hundred percent merino wool in a fine gauge — thin enough to sit under a jacket, warm enough to be the only layer.

the detail that makes it: a single line of violet knitted down the edge of the placket, against rust. it is a quarter-inch of color and it is the entire personality of the sweater. smoke-grey buttons rather than matching ones. that is the house signature — nothing loud, one decision per garment.
