a renggli button-up in citron satin. renggli is morgan stewart's label, and this is very much its register — a plain, well-cut shirt that does all its talking through colour.

the fabric is a satin-faced weave with a matte reverse, so the shirt shifts as it moves: the sleeves and placket catch light while the body reads flatter and softer. point collar, full button placket, single-button barrel cuffs, curved shirttail hem. the buttons are engraved renggli around the rim, which is the kind of detail you only find once you own the thing.

on the fabric, plainly: this is 100% polyester, not silk. it reads like charmeuse and it drapes like charmeuse, but the tag says polyester and i am not going to tell you otherwise. in this particular case that works in its favour — a citron this saturated would go dull in silk within a season, and polyester holds it. it also doesn't water-spot.

semi-sheer, so it wants a cami or a good bra underneath. made in the usa, which is rare at any price.
