this is a technical jacket wearing the clothes of a nice coat, and the specification is the reason to buy it. nobis laminate a sympatex membrane into the shell and rate it 10,000mm waterproof and breathable. the major seams are sympatex taped and sealed. the face has a dwr finish, and the whole thing is windproof.

outershell: 71% polyester, 21% nylon, 8% polyurethane. lining: 100% nylon. quoted from the garment's own label. the 8% polyurethane is the membrane layer doing its work.

knee length, cut with a tailored line rather than a boxy one. the hood is fixed and draws in on two cords. there is a high funnel neck, a hidden two-way metal zip at the centre front behind a storm placket, and magnetic closures along that placket - which is why the front reads as a clean unbroken column with no visible hardware.

five pockets. two zipped at the chest, two deep zipped bellows pockets at the hip, and a side-entry hand pocket. drawcords at both the waist and the hem, so the shape goes from straight to cinched depending on what you want from it.

⚠ the care label matters more than usual on a laminated jacket: wash it separately in cold water with the zip closed, and dry it zipped up and inside out on low heat. do not dry clean and do not iron - solvent and direct heat both wreck a membrane and strip the water-repellent finish.
