the zephirin 47 — jacques marie mage's most recognisable frame, and the one the brand built its reputation on. ten-millimetre cured cellulose acetate, keyhole bridge, sculpted double-laminated temples, arrowhead front pins, five-barrel hinges, exposed wirecores. handcrafted in japan, designed in los angeles, and cut to pre-war proportions — which is why it reads like something inherited rather than bought.
tortoise acetate against bottle green lenses. the frame is numbered 140 of 400, foil-stamped on the temple and matched on the box label. jmm runs every colorway as a closed edition and does not reissue.
