a wide-leg pant that is knitted rather than cut and sewn, which is what gives it the weight and the slight irregularity across the surface. high rise, with a wide ribbed elasticated waistband that sits flat rather than gathering, and a straight wide leg that falls the whole way down without tapering.

then the hem, which is the entire reason to own them. the knit is braided along the bottom edge and left to break into a tassel fringe — so the pant does not end in a hem at all, it ends in the yarn it was made from. it moves when you walk.
