the medallion embossed on the shaft is the point of the whole thing. it reads société anonyme des usines dior around the edge and l'union fait la force through the middle — the crest of the fertiliser company monsieur dior's father ran, and the money that paid for the house. tonal on tonal, so you only catch it up close.

then you look inside and the entire boot is lined in dior oblique jacquard. a rubber rain boot lined in monogram is a properly funny idea, and it's the reason this one is remembered.

condition, honestly. preloved. there is visible scuffing across both shafts — the pale scratch-marks matte rubber picks up — photographed straight on and unedited so you can judge it. the outsoles and platforms are clean with very little tread wear.
