a short belted trench from burberry brit, in a strong cobalt blue — the whole trench vocabulary at hip length, in a colour the house almost never uses.
everything is there. a point collar with a throat latch. epaulettes buttoned at each shoulder. a storm flap across the chest and a second across the back yoke. a double-breasted front. flap pockets at the hip. buttoned tabs at the cuffs. a belt through the waist and a second half-belt at the back.
the buttons are engraved burberry. the belt buckle is engraved burberry. and the whole thing is lined in the house check — grey, navy and white on a herringbone ground — which is what you see every time it falls open.
the fabric is lightweight and slightly papery, the sort that packs flat and shrugs off a shower rather than a storm. a spring and autumn coat, not a winter one.
the size is printed in four systems on the tag, so there is no guesswork: uk 8, us 6, italian 40, german 36. made in china.
