it's a fine, dense compact knit rather than a sweater knit, so it has real body and holds its shape: close through the body, cropped to sit at the high hip, with three-quarter sleeves and ribbing at the crew neck, cuffs and hem. the stripes are placed rather than repeated — a pair across the chest, a pair at the hem, a single band on each sleeve — which is what keeps it from reading as a basic breton.
