a proenza schouler dress in a pale cornflower blue, printed all over in small black brushstroke leaves. the marks are loose and hand-drawn rather than a tidy repeat, so the pattern never quite settles when the cloth moves.
the construction is the whole argument. the body is ruched in vertical channels from the bust down through the hip, which is what draws the line in close, and then it releases below the knee into a flared fishtail hem. the straps are multi-strand cords, knotted at the shoulder and left to trail well past the hip on both sides. deep v at the front, low v at the back, concealed zip at the centre back.
the care label lists two cloths: fabric 1 is 100% viscose, and fabric 2 is 93% polyester with 7% elastane — the stretch cloth used for the inner construction. made in china. professional delicate dry clean only, low iron.
